Adding GrowthZone Content

The first step to add a GrowthZone module to your website is to generate a URL from the back-office:

1. Click Setup in the left-hand navigation panel.
2. Click GrowthZone Pages in the Website section.
   
3. Click the numbered hyper-link in the Pages column. The Manage Site Modules dialog box will open, displaying any of the modules you have currently configured for use in your website.
   
4. Click the Add Module button.
   
5. Select the desired module from the Site Module Type drop-down. NOTE: Some module types (Directories, Content, and Calendars) allow you to select a module version. We recommend selecting the most current, updated version whenever possible.
   
6. If there are multiple instances of the site module type (for example, if you have multiple calendars multiple directories, forms, etc.), select the desired module from the drop down presented. In the example below, the Site Module Type selected is events, and a selection of the calendar to include is presented.
   
7. Enter a Title. This is the default title that will be used on your website.
8. Enter a Relative Path. This will be used to populate the URL that is system generated. Please note: this should be letters and dashes only; do not use any spaces or special characters.
9. You can leave the Template dropdown blank if you want the default template to apply. If different from the default, select the Template to be used for this module. The templates used in your website design will be populated in the drop-down list. See a video on How to Create and Assign Templates to Your Module Pages
10. The Entire Url will automatically be populated after you save the new module (you will need to save your changes first, then reopen the window to refresh the link). This is the URL that you will use on your website.
11. If you are using the Sponsors/Ads module, configure the Top of the page and the Bottom of the Page advertising types. See Working with Banner Ads for further details.
12. Click Done.

The URL needed to add the module to your website will automatically be generated. You can use this link within the content modules on your website, or you can use the link to add a menu item to you website.

To add a GrowthZone Module as a Menu Item on your GrowthZone CMS website, first you must generate the URL for the module as described above.

1. From the database, click Setup in the left-hand navigation panel.
2. Click GrowthZone Pages in the Website section.
   
3. Click the numbered hyper-link in the Pages column. The Manage Site Modules dialog box will open, displaying any of the modules you have currently configured for use in your website.
   
4. Click the hyperlink for the module you wish to add to your website. In the example below, the Upcoming Events module hyper-link was selected.
   
5. Copy the Entire Url link.
6. Access your website in edit mode by clicking the globe icon in the header bar (back office) and select the website URL from the dropdown.
7. Hover over the name of your organization in the header bar and select Menus from the dropdown.
   
8. Click the down arrow in the Customize Links section.
9. Paste the previously copied Entire Url in the URL box.
10. Enter the text you would like to appear on the menu for this item in the Link Text box.
11. Click Add to Menu.
12. The menu item for your GrowthZone module has now been added to your main menu structure on the right. Drag and drop into its desired location. Indented items will appear in the menu as dropdown selections.
13. Click Save Menu.

Create a new page with title of “#growthzone_template# XXXXX” (name it whatever you’d like, the example below is called Inquire Form.) Launch the Page Editor and apply the desired page template.

Leaving the page title that contains #growthzone_template# will automatically replace the heading with the name of the module using the template, so it can be used for multiple modules if needed. If you would like a different title than the database content auto-populates:

• If the title is not global, you can update the title text.
• If title is global, duplicate the area, delete the global area and replace the title text.

Remove any placeholder body text and add #GROWTHZONE_CONTENT# to the row, column, or content area where you’d like the database content to appear.

Add any other content needed outside the database-populated content. Click Done and Publish.

You can alter the slug if needed under Pages in the dashboard area, or apply a different parent page if using that option for microsites by hovering over a page title and selecting Quick Edit. Click update when done.

Next, go to the Database and go to Setup > GrowthZone Pages (in the Website section).

In the Module Page Settings tab, click on the link/number under Templates and click the + icon. Add the desired name of the template, and the new page URL that was created in GZCMS and click Done.

Close out of that and then click on the link/number under Pages to Add Module. Choose the type, add the Title, Relative Path, and choose the Template page that was just created above. Click Done, and go back in to copy the entire URL.

Go back to GZCMS and add the copied link in the Menu structure, or anywhere that it needs to be added.
